Waqf as a cultural and religious tradition in the history of Iran, after the establishment of scientific and cultural institutions, has caused the stability of scientific institutions. Nizami schools are one of these scientific and cultural institutions based on endowment, which were established in the Seljuk era and during the ministry of Khwaja Nizam al-Mulk Tusi with his desired goals. In addition to having extensive activity during the Seljuq period, these schools continued to operate after the decline of Khwaja Nizam al-Mulk and his family in the bureaucracy of the Seljuq era. The activity of some of these military schools, such as the Nizamiya of Baghdad, continued for a while even in the post-Seljuq period. From there, there is a two-way relationship between the endowment and the institutions based on endowment, their activity and the continuation of this activity depends on the continuation of this relationship. This two-way relationship exists between the waqf institution and military schools in the Seljuk era. This research, with a descriptive analytical method, relying on library studies and with a historical approach, tries to examine and re-examine the role of endowment in the formation, stability and decline of military schools. The findings of this research show; The endowments created for military schools created independent financial resources for them in a way that brought about the sustainability of military schools in different periods of time.
